Adoption Application
Please read the following general requirements carefully before submitting an adoption application. If you have a question about any of the criteria, please call us to discuss.
-
All adopters must be18 years of age or older.
-
Please be aware of any animal type, size, breed and quantity restrictions that your rental, home association or home owners’ insurance may have before proceeding with an adoption application!
-
Submitted applications must be filled out fully and factually.
-
Current pet(s) in the applicant’s home should be up to date on vaccinations (rabies, distemper) and altered (spayed/neutered), for the safety of both them and the adopted animal. If there is a medical reason your pet(s) is not considered up-to-date, this is something that can be discussed with the rescue representative assigned to your application once submitted.
-
All adopted animals must live indoors with their families and always be monitored closely when outdoors for their safety (with the exception of working cats).
-
We do not allow any medically-unnecessary surgical procedures, such as declawing; defanging; debarking; or cropping/docking (of tails or ears) to be conducted on any animal adopted from our rescue. Please note you contractually agree to this when signing an adoption agreement through our rescue.
-
The animal you adopt will have been vaccinated (age-appropriate), heartworm or FeLV and FIV checked, wormed and spayed / neutered (age-dependent) and given flea/tick preventions (if appropriate).
